Fountain Hills

A few weeks ago we hit up a fun Euro cafe in Fountain Hills. It was right on the lake, but unfortunately there was a street fair going on and our view was kind of blocked. We still had a great time. They have a great park right there too which the kids had a fun time at. It is so beautiful here, and this Winter weather is just too good to be true. Even though we've lived here for three and a half years we are always finding new places to check out. It's so great to know that we have finally settled in a place that we will stay for a long time. We've never stayed in one place very long, but Arizona, with these amazing winters and fun places to go as a family, is definitely a keeper.

This is a familiar look for Dylan. Anytime he sees a plane, helicopter, bird, interesting truck, or in this case a gigantic fountain he makes this face and yells "ooohhhh!!!!" and then babbles about it to explain to us what he's seeing.

Blue Dolphins and Green Lightning

The 2012 soccer season was even more fun this year since both Lily and Allie got to play. They were coached by the same coach, so practices held together, which was great especially for Lily who needed someone to show her the ropes. It made for pretty full Saturdays though, and I'm beginning to get a glimpse into what it will be like several years down the road when three kids all have two or three events each week that they're trying to get to, and we're trying to be supportive of. It was good practice for us. The girls seemed to have a lot of fun, especially at practice, but the games were pretty fun as well. Allie REALLY enjoyed playing goalie, and I think if she got to play that the entire game she'd enjoy it even more. She is good on the field, but I think her asthma gets the best of her with all that dry grass and the dry air that running for so long gets hard. The best part for them was just getting to play with friends snacks after the games. :)
Lily of course was about a head shorter than every other kid out there. She got knocked down a few times but not a single tear was shed.
Allie LOVED being on a team with so many boys.
My favorite Dolphin. And yes, this was supposed to be a 'short' sleeved jersey.
